3 MONTH RACE OVERVIEW

Key details from the event:

• 6 Boats participated 
• Course was originally designed for 7.9nm in Cumberland Sound, but had to be changed due to the Navy notifying that the Sound would be closed due to a submarine transit. The revised 7.5nm course agreed by the fleet started at the mouth of the Amelia River between G1 and R2 channel markers, then down the river to R10, up river to R2, back down to R10, with the finish back between G1 and R2.
• Light and shifty SSE winds prevailed, with the first boat "Tiger Tale" crossing the finish line after 2h15m of racing, and the final boat crossed the finish line after 2h56m of racing.
• Closest finish: Valkyrie crossed the finish line only 2 seconds ahead of Misty after 2hrs 19m of racing.
• After PHRF time adjustment, the boats finished in the following order: Misty, Tiger Tale, Valkyrie, Fin, Blown Aweigh, and On Eagle's Wings retired before finishing the race.
