3 MONTH RACE OVERVIEW

Three short triangle race courses were planned due to high tide at 8:53am resulting in increasing outgoing current during the races. The weather was beautiful: sunny, temperature in the low 80s, ENE winds increasing over the 3 races from 8-15kts. Six boats raced in all 3 races:  Tiger Tale, Misty, Valkyrie, On Eagle's Wings, Salty Sally and Lola. The first race at 1000 was 2.5 nm. With the increasing impact of the outgoing tide, the subsequent races were shortened. Race 2 started at 1100 and was 2.0 nm. Race 3 was 1.6 nm, starting at 1210. A "photo finish" in Race 3 saw Tiger Tale finishing 1 second ahead of Valkyrie. The overall winner for the day, based on finish places in each of the races was Tiger Tale. Second place was Valkyrie, followed by Misty, On Eagle's Wings, Salty Sally and Lola.
