AISC Members join the Annual Cross the Line Paddle for Veterans on June 22, 2024. Challenge yourself to kayak the 9 miles from historic St. Mary’s, Georgia to Fernandina Beach, Florida. This year all proceeds from the paddle will go to support Gratitude America (www.gratitudeamerica.org), a veteran organization who provides critical support to veterans and their families through restorative retreats, peer support, and therapeutic interventions from licensed counselors. Their Warrior Path program is designed by combat veterans for combat veterans. To register for this year’s paddle go to www.paddleguru.com and select Cross the Line Paddle for Veterans 2024. Registration will open on February 18, 2024. Remember the first 100 to register get a free ride to the start line on the Amelia River Cruise boats. Kayaks can be rented and delivered directly to the start line through Amelia Island Kayak Excursions or they can also be rented through other kayak companies in Nassau County. Once again, this year we are partnering with the Amelia River Cruise Company, Nassau Moving Company, The Green Turtle, Oasis Marina of Fernandina, Eight Flags Insurance, Vystar Credit Union, P-5 Productions, Amelia Kayak Excursions, Smoke-N-Da-Cockpit, the Omni Hotel and Resort, and of course the City of St. Mary’s, Georgia.
The after party at the Green Turtle will include plenty of food and music from Hupp Huppmann, Michele Andres, Andrea Shinn, and Kevan Wilson.
