Subject: AISC Meeting in November and Update
We will not be having our meeting as originally scheduled on November 3, 2020. However we will have an OUTDOOR gathering and brief club meeting on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, beginning at 6:00 PM at the Kraft Club.
In celebration of Thanksgiving and our ongoing endurance with Covid the club will provide a Turkey Dinner and the Kraft Club bar will be open for purchasing drinks via the outdoor deck window. We will publish what will be included in the Turkey Dinner once we work out the details. Members who would like something other than the provided Turkey Dinner may also bring other drinks and food they wish for themselves. There will be no provision for sharing food.
We will set up the space to allow for appropriate distancing and limited seating at tables. We ask you to follow COVID19 guidelines in effect on November 10th. No one who is ill or concerned should attend. Inside use of the Kraft Club and its bar and tables will also be available to those wishing to use.
Subject: Details for Turkey Dinner at November 10th Gathering
Kitchen 251 will be providing the Turkey Dinner. Each meal will be individually boxed as well as individual boxed desserts. The dinner includes the following:
Roast Breast of Turkey with Gravy
Traditional Dressing
Green Beans with Bacon and Onion
Mashed Potatoes
Cranberry Relish
Dinner Rolls with Butter Cups
Bread Pudding / Pecan Pie
Members who would like something other than the provided Turkey Dinner may also bring other food and non-alcoholic drinks they wish for themselves. There will be no provision for sharing food. We encourage all members to purchase their drinks at the KAC bar and no alcoholic drinks not purchased at the KAC bar may be consumed at this event.
To make this event possible and to help with the preparation we ask that everyone who plans on attending the November 10thevent register via AISC web site. We also wish to clarify that while AISC will not be having a Halloween Party this year, KAC will be open for their members on Saturday the 31st of October for a little Halloween fun.
We will also be missing our Halloween Party which provides for contributions and toys for Joy for the Children. At our gathering on November 10th we ask that you bring a toy or make a cash donation that we will provide to Joy for the Children for this year’s holiday season. Toni Rowdon will coordinate and deliver the toys and our donations on November 12th. You may also drop off your contribution at Toni’s home, 1559 Canopy Dr., Fernandina Beach, FL 32034. Our Christmas Party originally scheduled for December 4th is being postponed until a time in 2021 when we are more comfortable holding such a formal indoor event. Details will be provided as they are developed. We are however thinking of having a December gathering / meeting likely outdoors at the Kraft Club if such can be worked out. We will keep you posted.
